Mobility Restrictions at Castle Mauterndorf

Here you will find all the information regarding limited accessibility

Castle Mauterndorf is a medieval fortress and toll castle nestled amid the beautiful mountain landscape of the Salzburg Lungau region. Merchants, traders, and travelers once had to pay a toll here to be allowed to pass with their goods. Today, many centuries later, Castle Mauterndorf is a tourist attraction in the Salzburg region. For this reason, we strive to make the medieval walls as accessible as possible, including for people with special needs. However, due to the building’s historical architecture, this is only possible to a limited extent.
