Advent market at Mauterndorf Castle

The Christmas season is also particularly festive in Salzburg's darkest region. Visitors to the Advent market in Mauterndorf Castle can look forward to a wide range of traditional crafts from regional suppliers: handmade pottery and clay products rub shoulders with unusual jewelry designs, homemade handicraft products and much more.

 For gourmets, the Advent market offers plenty of regional delicacies and warming drinks: from hearty bacon bread and Lungau sausages to fine Christmas biscuits as well as punch and mulled wine. The musical accompaniment with carol singers, music groups and singers creates a magical pre-Christmas atmosphere. Last but not least, the craft program, reading corner and cookie baking in the rock cellar are absolute highlights for younger visitors!

Opening times

The Advent market at Mauterndorf Castle opens on Saturday, December 6, Sunday, December 8 and Monday, December 8, as well as on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14, from 1 to 7 pm.

Overview of the program

On all opening days:                                   
13.00 – 19.00: Atmospheric caroling and Christmas music.

14.00 -17.00: Supervised children's program with cookie baking, Christmas crafts and reading corner.
