Advent market at Mauterndorf Castle

The Christmas season is also heralded in a particularly festive way in Salzburg's southernmost region. Visitors to the Advent market in Mauterndorf Castle can look forward to a wide range of traditional handicrafts from regional suppliers: handmade pottery and clay products rub shoulders with unusual jewelry designs, homemade handicraft products and much more.

For gourmets, the Advent market offers plenty of regional delicacies and warming drinks: from hearty bacon bread and Lungau sausages to fine Christmas baked goods as well as punch and mulled wine. The musical accompaniment with brass bands, music groups and singers creates a magical pre-Christmas atmosphere. Last but not least, the arts and crafts program, reading corner and cookie baking in the rock cellar are absolute highlights for younger visitors!
